I'll try to make this short. I have a 2005 Sea Ray 320, inboards.
I had a bad battery that was heating up when I tried to start my starboard engine. I removed all 4 batteries, and had them load tested. I had to replace one (the one that was heating up). I reinstalled the batteries. I tired to start the starboard engine and I get nothing. When I turn the batteries on, the key on, and the breaker on, I don't even get the buzzer to sound when i put the rocker to the on position. I noticed the smartcraft works off the starboard batteries when I turn the switch on, but now it doesn't turn on either. I checked voltage at the starter, and it's good. I put my test light on both sides of the 90 amp fuse at the starter, both sides lite. I check for current at the red set fuse on the engine, nothing on either side. I checked the 3 fuses, all good. If I try to use the emergency start, I noticed the smartcraft turns on, however, after about 3-5 seconds it shuts down because the port side breaker trips. Is there a fuse/breaker I'm missing? Someone said they may be a fuse behind the key (I would have to remove the panel). It appears the bad battery tripped something. No matter how many times I shut the batteries off, and turn them on, the starboard side appears always dead. I'm confused and lost on this one.

Voltage goes from the 90 amp fuse directly to the 50 amp breaker, so you have a problem there.

Can I jump it? from the 90 amp to that 50 amp? Odd as I do have voltage on both sides of the 90 amp.

I would fix it, broke wire or corroded terminals. Orange wire goes from 90 to the alternator. Got juice on that one? Ground wire from battery to block, check and clean.

I go back down this weekend and check again. All I know is there is juice on both sides of the 90 amp at the starter. No juice on the 50 amp. When I turn the ignition on the port side, I have juice both sides of the 50 amp. however, again, no juice on the starboard 50 amp either side.
