Sorry I didn’t want to make this confusing. Knowing I would not use the tv again I broke it off the wall to find a piece plywood (larger than TV) mounted to the back of the tv and 3 screws on the top and 2 screws on the bottom holding that plywood to the wall. I believe the 3 top and 2 bottom screws that you can barely see around the vinyl muff will remove the TV. The picture i sent is the new tv mount and new Velcro sub mount, note completed pic.

Your new setup looks amazing, and more importantly, it looks factory! Well done sir. I'll post some pics of my setup and see if you have thoughts on how best to attack it. I also just received the searay cockpit tv mount I ordered, so it looks like I have to get brave and drill a couple of holes in the arch here soon. Like you, I wanted the cockpit ttv to mirror the factory install so I bit the bullet and paid Sea Ray way too much for their mount.

Thank you.
Have you thought about what type of TV to install on the arch? I found a this last year;
AXESS TVD1804-24 24” HD TV/DVD Combo with External Soundbar Speaker, SD Card, AC/DC Power, HDMI Port, Remote Control
More information: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06X3YBGQC/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_4EV2Q3MQAZZECCCGEN72?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Most importantly for us it is 12volt so we can watch without generator, the built in sound bar & DVD are great. It shows unavailable but I’m sure there other options. Good luck with the install shouldn’t be too bad.

Hey all, I recently added the factory Sea Ray arch TV mount so that we can watch games in the cockpit. Now I need to tackle the fun part, running the wiring up through the arch for a clean install.

Can anyone tell me where the splitter is located for the glomex antenna? I don't want to tear things apart looking for it if I don't have to, so some intel would be a helpful start. Our boat was factory equipped with the aft berth and salon tv's, both of which tie into that splitter. I would assume that it's near the glomex amp in the cabinet that has the stereos but hoping that there's some collective wisdom I can tap into before taking stuff apart.

Thanks!
John

Hi all,

Bought our '08 350 DA with 80 original hours this fall - finally in the water now, and i'm miffed by the RPMs we're achieving...

Assuming most (or some) of you have the 496s with Bravo 3s - what's been your experience in achieving factory stated RPM range? Struggling to get the boat to even plane out right now - even if i hammer throttle (WOT) from standstill in perfect conditions, never planes - just 16/17 MPH. Have to work the tabs and trim perfectly to get it up on the top of the water. Don't hear any misses, idles fine, once it gets on plane, can achieve ~4,100RPMs fully trimmed out.

All plugs were replaced this offseason, but i may start there unless anyone else has a better idea...

thanks for the help.

Curt, something is definitely off. These boats are overpowered if anything, they should get up very quickly and without any messing around with tabs. To save yourself from chasing your tail it might be prudent to get someone in with a scanner to see if anything is obvious. Injectors, coil pack, etc. I’d recommend Dan Vondrak since your signature says Chicago. What harbor are you in? We’re in Belmont on G dock

Funny coincidence, i totally agree. I left Dan a voicemail on my way to O'Hare today. Haven't heard back yet, assuming he's very busy this time of year...

I am actually on the river! East branch of Goose Island, behind the Montgomery Ward (or as people call it now 'Groupon') building.

Wow! I saw your boat this past Friday when we went up the north branch to Damen! Saw it from a distance as we passed the MW building.

Because these engines electronically adjust to things so well, if you have a bad injector you may be down a cylinder or more and not realize it with the engine adjusting. Dan is definitely busy this time of year, but most of the yards have scanners as well if you can get in. I've had great experiences with B&E marine over the years, but it's across in Michigan city. I believe Chicago Yacht Works is a Mercruiser shop and I assume Crowleys could plug into the engines as well. I think in the long run that's the best approach to make sure you're not replacing things that don't need replaced.

While ours is V-Drive it has gobs of power, so something is most definitely wrong with what you're experiencing.

Ah funny! You should go up to Metropolitan Brewing. Next time we can arrange a slip swap! We occasionally snag a transient slip on the lake on busy weekends or when there's a concert at Wrigley or Soldier field we are attending. I'll leave the CYW folks a message tonight. I've stored with them in the past.... labor rates are astronomical, but they do harbor calls...

Finally got Dan out to the boat this AM, and I feel ridiculous for not checking the filters. Dan said he’s never seen anything like this - bacteria build up in a gas engine fuel filter. Heading to St Joe, hoping this clears the issue!

That’ll do it! Glad he got you sorted! What a weird phenomenon for a gas boat!

It totally solved it - turning 4,500 RPMs, flies out of the hole... Now to solve the Kohler generator... but have no fear, Dan has it on his list of 'to-dos' this summer.

Hello everyone,

We have a 2017 Sundancer 350 with 8.2L Mercruiser Mag with Axius and VesselView4. Our autopilot has started to intermittently shut off. It disengages and gives a series of alarm beeps, but shows no error in the error log on the VesselView. My phone was streaming music to the speakers, which is the only difference. Could that cause interference?

Any thoughts, idea, or fixes?

Much Appreciated

Shouldn’t have anything to do with your music streaming, the AP heading system is wired, not wireless and shouldn’t be vulnerable to your phone or anything of the entertainment system. sorry I can’t be of help with potential fixes

thank you. just another thing in a long list of repetitive problems. Every time I fix something there is a new problem. I will never buy another Sea Ray

RVM , I’m feeling your pain. This boating thing is definitely a love hate relationship.
My latest frustration is my AC.
I have a 2009 Sundancer 350/370. The ac runs for a while then turns off and gives a error code LO/AC. In the owners manual this error code means low-voltage to the unit. If I turn the unit off then on again the AC will run again for approximately five minutes or so then shuts down and gives me the same error code. Thinking it may be voltage fluctuation from the marina’s shore power, I unplugged and ran the AC from my generator, but got the same result with the AC shutting down after a few minutes with the same error code. There is good water flow coming out of the boats AC outlet. AC pump strainer was clear. What concerns me the most, is that anyone with this boat knows the AC access looks like you take out The entire aft cabin to get to it. has anyone experience this problem or similar, and has anyone attempted to get to the AC unit (hoping not as bad to get to as it seems).

Good Morning
A good friend of mine is looking at a 2016 Sea Ray 350 Sundancer with 2 ECT 8.2 MAG AX BR3X

I sent him this thread but also wanted to ask, from the collective experience, is there anything specific he should be checking?
I know to check servicer history, manifolds, risers, heat exchangers... Anything else specifically?
What about electronics? Hull? etc.

Thank you guys!
Shaps

For those that have installed autopilot on their 350/370s I have a few questions as I start to plan my install. I've purchased the raymarine ACU-150 system that I will be pairing with the seastar piggyback AP pump that bolts directly to the factory Seastar power assist pump (no new hydraulic lines needed).

My primary question is whether I should wire the ACU-150 to a switched power supply or direct to 12v power. My boat came with the under-platform lights wired to ACC-2, so I was debating tapping into the ACC-1 switch that is currently unused if I go the switched route.

In addition, I'm curious where you placed your electronic compass? The compartment behind the aft berth seat back on the stbd side seems like an easy spot, but as I understand it the under-floor compartments were the factory location.

Any and all information is helpful. Thanks!
