Looks like you have a 2010. You might want to put your question in the general forum. Most of us have older 1990s versions. Ours are wide open under those cushions.

Just to give an update and credit to my 1st mate.. after much frustration, I asked my wife for help.. she thinks things through differently than I do.. sure enough all I had to do was lift up on the thick pad under the mirror.. removing it exposed the screws I needed to take out to remove the back board. Then allowing me to get to the screws to take up the bottom board..
project is now complete and everything back together.

Hello 370ers. We have sold our 500DA and have a contract on a 1996 370DA. Survey etc next week, fingers crossed. I look forward to asking all of you questions.

Ok folks. 98 370 with a westerbeke generator. Where the hell is the oil filter and how do you access it. I can’t imagine that it is on the outboard side and completely unaccessable.

just found a diagram. Looks like it’s on the front of the engine, but outboard side. How the hell do you get to it?

I have a 96, and use a mirror and flashlight. Difficult, yes, but you'll get use to it.

That's where it is. I personally cut a hole and hatch in the cockpit coaming locker above the generator behind the small access door so I can reach down when changing plugs, and accessing other stuff on the outboard side. Other option is to remove the outboard exhaust of the STBD engine, and wiggle it out to put on the bench. I have a 98 that has the big hatch, so that may not be applicable to a pre-98. Then there's reach-around the front while squatting between the fuel tank and the genny, or going behind the water lift muffler from the center of the bilge. I expect it's a lot easier with log exhaust.

Everyone is grown up around me these days. Lost of weddings and grand kids starting. :)

I think what I am at least going to try is to make a plywood platform to lay in the space the deck panel sits. That way, maybe I can lay on it and get my arms and hands around to the front of the genny I guess do it by feel. How doesn't this filter position create a freaking mess is beyond me.

nope, it does. well placed bucket with a pile of oil absorb pads in and around the bucket will help contain. And, of course drain the oil for about a day first.

I have often wondered if there is a remote oil kit for these, but then I forget about it until the next change.

I was going to ask if anyone added the remote filter setup. Look for pictures of install.

I was looking at it last night. Page 21 of the current manual cites PN 040078. Westerbeke website says it's now PN 057199. They list it for $589 which sounds cheap considering the major PIA.

So anyone know which battery bank powers the 12 volt system? Port or starbord?

Great, thanks. Just trying to figure out where my battery weakness is coming from. I guess first winter project is replacing the battery charger and starting fresh.

Where does one mount larger MFDs on this boat? I put a 7” Axiom directly above the steering wheel, but it was tight. The radar space is obvious, but where else? Is there a pod you can mount above the dash? I don’t really like bracket mounts, but this is what I’m left with.
