I have no idea, and that's my point. I don't know what's in there. The auto pilot works in "manual" mode -- set the heading, push auto and you're good to go. Turn the dial to adjust. Other than that, I'm clueless -- took me 10 minutes to get the cover off the vhf radio. :)

Just checked. Looks like I am running an old NMEA version as well. The radar had it connected. The GPS didn't have sea talk plugged in, but did use the power/nmea port. The raydata also has a nmea port that was being used in addition to the two sea talk ports.

Anyone know if the the starboard side storage cubby comes apart? Trying to run an electronics cable from helm to engine room and can't figure out a way in. Maybe if I can get behind that storage area there is access?

I think the helm seat and base has to be removed to remove that starboard cubby. I have never pulled the starboard cubby. Start with removing the woofer and see if you can work through the woofer hole. That allowed me to accomplish the job of running wires from helm to ER; and from helm to the cabin. In my 1998 370 DA there were TWO conduits from the helm to the ER, one of which was empty and the other had the transducer cables in it. The empty one even had a pull wire in it!

Ok. I have the sub out, but it’s just an open space with wires and tubes. I can’t see any holes accessing the engine room. There is a white tube which has a couple of wires in it, but I can’t find where it ends and it seems like my snake gets stuck at the end. E7A395ED-6E1B-4854-8B6B-BE69263A0B71.jpeg

You will have to remove the helm seat base to gain access to remove the side storage cover. Once you do, you can drive a small truck in there. Just make sure you re-bed the bolts that come from the ceiling in the mid cabin to the helm seat base. That area WILL get wet, and you don't want that compromising the core the seat sits on. If you are lucky, you might get all the nuts off without disturbing the bolts. Graphic pics at 370sundancer.com look up 1998/ Beach House. cockpit stuff last photo is mine removed. I removed my arch for transport, and had to get to that space to deal with the radar, etc. When you see the wires coming out of the floor of the space behind the sub woofer, you will see the glob of silicone Sea Ray used to block the engine room fumes from getting there. If breached, you will find that your A/C sucks those fumes right into the cabin.

I was actually talking about the one the sits in the cockpit behind the u-shape seat. It's carpeted. No way am I removing the helm seat and all. :)

That one will get you access to the cabling and bolts that go to the radar arch, as well as the nuts behind the bolsters, etc. It is isolated I believe from the space forward of that where the sub woofer is, but there is no reason you can't drill a hole in that bulkhead as long as you seal around it after pulling your cable. The stuff that goes from the engine room, up over the stbd gas tank, and then forward comes out in the hole behind the sub woofer from what I remember. Shift and throttle cables, engine harnesses and so forth are all in that big blob of stuff. I need to pull a couple of fuel flow sensors out of there over the next day or 2, so I'll have a closer look, and try to take some pics.

That would be great. I just can't get a real good look. I see wires coming up, but don't see where from.

The "end" of the conduits at the helm end are very congested. They pass through the area where you removed the woofer, and end at about the throttle levers. It is tight but they are there. In the ER they are right where the starboard fuel tank meets the bulkhead wall separating the ER from the aft cabin.

I should have mentioned it also helps to remove the electronics dash panel (with GPS/Loran, depth guage, etc) to help get to the end of these conduits.

    Hi all,

I have a love/hate relationship with my westerbeke 7.0 BCG that's for sure.
I do some work, it Runs great for a bit then stops again.

I suspect the coil to be honest, but my real question is this:

Research tells me the 7.0bcg engine would be a daihatsu CB 993cc engine found in a charade etc. Anyone else come to the same conclusion?

Happy to report the thrill of victory.

ended up with an inspection camera and traced the transducer wires. Sea ray couldn’t have buried the end of the tube any deeper. Basically along the hull wall behind everything. Once I was able to get my hand on it and pull it out into the open it was a piece of cake from there.

On to the next one, pulling new radar cables. :)

So another question. Does anyone know what the "elect" switch powers? Thanks,

owner's choice. It's for aftermarket doodads. should tie into the fuse block behind the helm.

Hi Friends. My interior cabin light switch for the aft cabin seems to be shorting out. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement switch? I have googled everything! This is the two switch rocker panel inside for the aft cabin. Thanks in advance!

Vimer switches. Imtra seems to always have them in stock. Some marine surplus outlets do too. Try greatlakesskipper.com as well. imtra.com
