Hello captains,

I have a 2006 Searay Sundancer 300DA and need some support.
Does anyone know where to get a replacement handset for a Northstar 100SS VHF radio? The cord, back of the handheld and clip on mine are damaged. Radio is working fine. Any information anyone could would be appreciated.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that radio was discontinued years ago. I replaced the whole radio with the Icom M400BB and gave the old handset to another member here.

Thank you for answering Windjammer. After researching and reading threads I imagine will be very difficult to find one even second hand...... Maybe another captain like you upgrades / dismantles and might be kind to share or sell. I dont use the radio much (almost none) however like having original pieces on my boat... Thanks again

Still looking? I have one that is OK from a Northstar NS100. The handset is good and works but the cord is on its last legs.

There was a guy that used to make replacement cordsets for them but he retired. I just replaced my radio with a SOTA VHF with GPS, AIS and MMSI.

Try Seawiremarine.com they replaced the cord on my Icom that was not available and it looked brand new and the turn around was about 10 days. You can email them and they will tell you if it can be done. Much cheaper than a new radio!
