Rock Hall marina recommendations

Found app ARGO, it’s great, like anything you have to play with it a while to get full potential. It’s great for those of us without chart plotters, free app, no buy ins, pop ups, or bs.

I never had any problems with the dock master at Rock Hall Landing. North Point Marina is nice too. North Point can be uncomfortable in a southerly swell. Haven Harbor and Swan Creek are pretty ritzy with great amenities. You will need to ride the trolley to get downtown (if it is running).

It’s only a mile or so walk or bike ride. Haven Harbor has bikes you can use...

Dockmaster was very nice in emails today, going to consider that one, mostly it seems closest to town. Wife leaning toward Mears Kent Narrows cause she likes the Red Eye, but not much there but drinking. Use to go there a lot with flotillas but just us now not the same.

And now she wants this thing called a microwave. Some Russian Sputnik contraption that supposed to heat food. Told her wrap it in aluminum put on intake manifold, run engine, heat food. Problem solved.

Prison/college hot dogs. Ever tried this? Bend back middle times of fork, slide dog on fork handle, put the outer 2 times in electric outlet. 30 sec, done, don’t grab with bare hand.

Bringing the zodiac. Only Watermans is close to walk, 3 others close by dinghy, town looks further to walk than expected. Will look into an Uber account.

Unfortunately there's really nothing in town anymore. Waterman's, Harbor Shack, Passages at Haven Harbour and the new Admirals Club at Haven Harbour South are your waterfront dining/drinking options. There is no longer a trolley and I doubt there's Uber service in town. Dinghy is a good option to get around or bike/walk.

We always stay at Haven Harbour but travel with kids so the pool is a must, although not this early in the season. I think Kent Island would be a better choice for a long weekend.

That’s where the wife wanted to go. I talked her into Rock Hall, emailed there to see if 1 night is possible, sometimes they require 2. If need 2, probably cancel, go to Mears, then do RH on a non holiday weekend.

Ok. I think we goin with this, holiday weekend they all require 2 night minimum. Gonna cancel Rock Hall, take zodiac to Fairlee, anchor out, use the Z go to jellyfish bar and marina amenities. Try RH on a non minimum night weekend. If any of ya see the Pirate Lady anchored come by for beers beanies and weanies.
