Sounded bad from the start . Memphis videos

But seeing the video is just WTF?
Almost seems personal for these cops.

I havnt got my head around this yet.... I am not a cop lover by any means and I have alot of stories....there just seems to be more to this story. Glad they are fired and the charges against them seem appropriate .....just a sad situation all around

I watched all the videos, I got questions too but I don't think it matters now what happened. The cops need to be sacrificed to prevent rioting. Maybe they deserve it anyway, maybe not.

I seen no reason for them to beat and kick him. Nothing 4 men shouldn't be ableto handle in a better way.
That guys mom gonna own Memphis.

I am not against cops at all. But this looks very badly for these 5.

Dad was saying there was a report that came out just after the beating, that he was heading up part of the riot or protest of the ANTIFA deal in the woods. I don't know, retaliation for the cop that died? I, personally, choose to not to think too much into any of it. It will be turned into a one sided "thing" anyways. Just like the "need" to bad guns in ever capacity. Now there is a bunch of "mass shootings" happening. The sheeple will turn it into what they want.

I'm pro police 100% but I'm also a fairly intelligent human with common sense and ethics. This was wrong. Those cops deserve whatever punishment they get. Don't care if the guy was heading up ANTIFA or what he might have been doing. He was helpless and both arms being held back while another officer kicked him in the head/face, beat him with an expandable baton, and punched him in the face. These guys are done for and deservedly.

I'm not against law enforcement. I'm against crooked law enforcement. And the scorpion force was as crooked as they come.

But I am 100% against a living being being treated without respect. I'm not for any of the domestic terrorists either. But nobody deserves to be beaten like that.

And that is all I have to say about it. Like I said, the sheeple will do what they want, regardless.

As an ex-cop I can't imagine ANYTHING that young man might have done that warranted him being brutally murdered by 4 cops. I refuse to watch those videos. I guess I don't need that in my life anymore.
Question for you. Where you ever trained to open a driver's side door and pull a guy out of the car?

That's the part that makes no sense to me. If the guy was out of control, it seems they would use caution when approaching the car. No clue if he has gun or whatnot. What I have seen is the cops box the car in, and then negotiate the guy out of the car. Or at least proceed with an abundance of caution.

These guys walked right up, opened the door, and pulled the kid out of the car. I don't get that.

No, and neither do I. Please understand that training for cops cannot possibly cover every event. A handful of times in my career I found it necessary to open a driver's door and remove the driver from the car. That being said, it NEVER was followed up with a beating.

I used to be 100 percent pro cop, then on fathers day 2016 i had a incident with a off duty highway patrolman on a boat ramp That changed my view completely. I still believe most cops are good people, but there are vile disgusting liars in the herd as well. One of these days ill tell the story on here.
That said, nothing about this makes sense, there has to be some kind of history here, or something happened leading up to this that we aren't seeing. Terrible all the way around

I think in one video I heard them say 'get out of the car' just as they started yanking him out....was that the only time they said it or was it the 20th, who knows. Too bad there's no other video of what led up to the stop. You'd think cop cars would all have dash cams w/audio recording at all times.

I have watched a bunch of the videos now. There are none that could possibly excuse any of the cops for what they did after yanking him from the car. No matter what happened before. They became judge , jury , and executioners. Then stood around laughing?

I live 30 minutes outside of Memphis the rumor is he was going with one of the guys girl friends or wife not sure but that's what we been hearing. I'm sure it will all come out at the trial cause when they go to squeezing the birds are gonna start to sing. But like I said that's just rumors lots of them going around...

I'm not siding with the police, I got lots of questions but I'd still bet the guy would be living if he wouldn't have fought and escaped when they first yanked him out of the car. Like it or not he contributed to the end result.

Really....how many times do we need to see what can happen if you resist/fight the cops/try to escape...shit gets out of hand, some folks get fucked up when they wouldn't have had to.

My friends son is a Memphis cop. Last time I saw him I made a remark about it being dangerous work there. He just said the part of town he works is pretty safe.

I worked for the City of Memphis for almost 42 Years and believe me there is nowhere I will go in Memphis and feel safe anymore. There are killings every day, robberies all over town from one side to the other, kidnappings you name it and it's happening there. The thing now is 2 car loads pull up beside you one on each side all the windows blacked out and they rob you or car jack you. Not the city I started working in 1972...I hardly ever go there anymore..If you visit there be careful especially at night. I really feel for the Police there not saying what those guys did was right nothing was right about that whole thing.

Nashville seems to be catching up. My daughter and I were there last year. And the amount of druggies out at night was eye opening. We were walking along and a guy was spasing out like he walked into a spider web fell backwards and slammed his head on the concrete. I figured he was high as hell. As he was walking our way my daughter who was only 14 at the time and didn't really know any better asked him " Are you alright" he lunged at her. I instinctively grabbed his throat and threw him back . He was light as a feather. He sat down on a wall as we walked away. Really strange place the cities have become in this country. Crime was always there but not like today. It is just in the open. I like my country life.
