Yum, all good bottles there! Woodford Double Oaked is a step above regular... grab a bottle on your next trip.

Bulleit is another good one in that price range

Yep, I’ve had it, I was going to get the Rye but my wallet was running low, next time.

So having just tasted all three, the Angels Envy is my favorite, but it’s price point is a good bit higher at $56 for 750ml, and at the alarming rate that I consume it I’ll be holding that back for when my crew comes over now and then, the Four Roses comes in a very close second, much better than my Makers, very smooth, The Elijah Craig was a bit rough at the end for me, but that could just be tonight as my acid reflux is showing it’s face. Thanks to all for the recommendations! Tonight’s sip of choice will be the Four Roses.

The straight Bourbon will dial up the acid reflux. Ask me how I know.....

You can also tone it down with a big ice cube, let it sit for about 15 minutes

Omeprazole is my friend and installed. Going to try the bitters route later. I was going to go to the boat and clean a little then sit and sip and smoke but it’s friggin 41 here and 40 at the boat. I know I shouldn’t complain as a lot of you are far worse but WTFO? I’m in NC!?! I hate the cold.

$20 every two months from Sam's. I take it twice a day per the doc. Sometimes that doesn't even control it.

I’m not that bad, used to be…only take it when I know it’s going to be an issue (like tonight) bottle says “when needed” works well for me. Weight loss helped as well, went from 270 to 200, before the 07/03/2022 fall now 220 and working down, we need to start a new “old guy med thread ;)

Yeah, they say that about weight. I lost 54 pounds and then had a heart attack. Counter intuitive. I have kept the weight off for well over a year. I exercise regularly and a very strict diet. Reflux still creeps in. Won't keep me from good bourbon or Beef Eaters.

Off topic, I had significant heart burn, gut issues, acid reflux, etc. and was taken various flavors and varieties of prescription drugs, plus OTC. I hate taking RXs so I starting working with a natural medicine doctor. Best thing I ever did. After numerous tests and such I made some adjustments to my diet and everything's fine now. No meds, rarely have heart burn.

So Gents, I say again let’s start a meds thread and leave the Whiskey thread alone.

I've been slowly building up my collection of bourbon and whiskey. So far my favorites are Knoble, Basil Hayden Dark Rye and Old Forester Statesman. Honorable mention to Woodford reserve straight and Double Oaked. I don't much care for most rye's other than Basil's dark rye.

So I love everyone’s input on this topic as I have a (non boating) friend that loves Bourbon/Whiskey’s and is not afraid to put gas money in the tank. It seems I need to restock the FatBottomGirl with some goodie!

Host a Bourbon Tasting event, everyone brings a bottle, you walk away with as many bottles as guests you invite ;-)

Geeeze I started the Med thread as a joke, people are losing their minds. I’ll stick to the Whiskey and generator. Yikes
