This state/country is messed up

The question is why the current POTUS and administration went for Griner and not Whelan. I'm pretty sure we all know the answer...
Similar to bailing out the Union pension today with federal monies.
 
I will happily concede POTUS didn’t get it done with regard to Whelan. But then why didn’t FPOTUS if he was the better negotiator???

You don’t know the answer, and neither do I. But we can all speculate. Sure.

So why didnt the previous admin go for Whelan…before there was the Greiner problem???

You keep asking the same question with little or no input on the subject. The subject you changed my post into. It's not public why FPOTUS didn't do that. Only he and/or his administration MAY know why. So please offer up some suggestions or stop asking the same question.

Obviously I don't know - why didn't this admin work Whelan instead of Griner?
I'll summarize that neither of us know other than this POTUS has a history of working things on the fringe not generally in our nation's best interest. But that's me and my opinion. End.
 
I would offer they got Greiner done because that’s what Russia would do now. And they wouldn’t do Whelan now or during the previous administration either. So it may not be as nefarious on the current administrations part, is my point.

Just my speculation. I mean, FPOTUS is the great negotiator. Ask Mexico.
 
He alone can fix things, I don’t understand why he didn’t get it done. Negotiator par excellence.

Did he try and couldn’t get it done? Or not try?

And our current POTUS free'd someone who speaks against the US and traded that for an arms dealer. Pretty funny since he is so against guns. So he trades someone that will put guns back in terrorist hands and on the streets. From my perspective we are in the saddest state of affairs we have ever been in in a very long time, and Biden just keeps making it worse every chance he gets.

Brandon doesn't need an arms dealer to get guns to terrorists. He just abandons all they could ever need in Afghanistan and is kind enough to leave ammo, helicopters, armored Humvees...the list goes on.
