trailer bunk placement on 340 DA

Thank you very much! This is great place to start. Ball park is ok.
On a side note: if you have or know anyone that has a cockpit they want to sell let me know. I have to remove the arch for transport and need to cover the cockpit for the voyage home.

There was a member that said he had one but turned out to be a potential scammer know on the forum.

I will post on forum classifieds as well.

Cheers,

When I sold my last boat (270 da) it was trailered from CT to Oregon. The guys who transported it suggested I remove the mooring cover. They stated that trailering is best without shrink wrap or the cover as the drivers usually end up fussing with it over the long haul.

I found it hard to believe since I see so many boats on the highway shrink wrapped, but hey, they are in this business not me. It made it across the us in 4 1/2 days with no issues.

How dirty was the inside of your boat when it arrived!
I guess I could try and plan for good weather. And worst case just have a dirty cockpit to clean when i get it home.

thx

I don't really know but the new owner did not complain about it or send pictures. He is on this site occasionally and may chime in here if he see this.

Another thought is to pull the boat with a lift and back the trailer underneath it and then adjust it. This is how they load big boats for transport.

There are two differing opinions on moving one shrink wrapped or not. I have moved two without-a 44DB and a 420DA. Hauler's truck exhaust was underneath everything so no soot whatsoever. It just took a normal cleaning to get everything back to original condition.
