Anyone used Trick Davits? They look well made and the owner/seller has responded very quickly to my questions. We have 310 air floor right now and plan on getting a Rib but I'mnot sure if it'll be this year or not so the adjustable nature of these is promising. I like the rollers too, and the cost is reasonable.

its very similar to the H20, but the H20 is either soft or hard bottom and would require a different mount when we switch dinghys

I use the H20 hard bottom davit for my soft bottom Zodiac Aero…. They work perfect…. Not sure why they sell the soft bottom version unless it’s less expensive…. Our idea was to go to a hard bottom eventually and I wasn’t paying twice for davits…. Which might be the other reason they have two versions :)

thanks! How close did you put the davit to the transom? I like to leave the engine on and would imagine supporting the transom would help with flexing the air bottom

just found this little bit in the documentation, so I guess there’s an option for both by changing the insert

If you start out with a soft bottom tender and upgrade to a hard bottom, no problem, remove the soft bottom pads and add the adjustable Chock Pads.

About 3”

I seem to recall that someone here bought the Trick Davits and wasn’t happy with them. Had some trouble and was not satisfied with the support from the company.

My friend had them on his 400 sedan bridge. They are easy on and off with his 10’. He replaced with an under the swim platform model. He stated they were too bulky when removed and only supported at the edges of the platform. Your mileage may vary

you mean the trickdavits? I did notice that. The H20 is also primarily on the edge of the platform but appears to have some blocks supporting them in the middle as well

+1 on the Hurley.

I have the H3O version and love it. Works really well and doesn't take up the platform, but f you want to remove and store on the boat. That's probably not going to work very well, unless temporary for the day.

I previously had St. Croix davits, that swiveled. Mostly found on sail boats. They were the easiest to use but were very bulky and did not look right on the boat. The H3O look right and is very easy to use.
