I have pods on my L590. I am told the center trim tab is 'locked-out' by Searay and not used on pods.
The center trim tab cylinder/hose is leaking oil and needs repair/replacement. I have been told not to use the center engine until repaired - and I live in SW Florida (Hurricane Ian territory) - so boatyards are quoting 6 - 9 months to just get in.
My question: Can I have the hose to the center trim tab capped-off?
Seems to me that, since the tab never moves, the pressure is static and if capped would result in the same 'static pressure'.
I wonder if this action would have a detrimental effect on any other systems?
