Nauticalit.com my boat is actually on his site. “3D”. I don’t know if he advertises the emblems but he has them. Tell him Phil recommended you

Back to the drawing board. Those green emblems, and similar white ones in the original pic came in at $420+ each (not a pair …) :(

The treasure hunt continues :)

In todays market your probably not going to find these types of emblems for much less that that. When I first read all of this, my thinking was going to be 1K+ for the pair.

Fair call but hardly worth doing at that price. It’s only an emblem not a name and lit at night only in a discrete area.

I was only after something simple like the current emblem with a back light. No need for 316 or fancy colours. If someone could do them simply and cost effective they’d sell like hotcakes. Got lots and lots of people following my APB over there.

But for $1000 I think my money would be better spent buying a pair of kick@$$ speakers..

I could not agree more, as I am also looking for something subtle like this as well. I was thinking of making something if possible. But I was thinking Mahogany and over lit, like the old boats use to do.

I got an estimate on a Mahogany gold leaf name plate and I was quoted $1500 (for both), no light or anything. I am thinking of routing the name in Mahogany and having it gold leaf painted and outlined. But a lot of work and no time for that.

Don’t give up, there are so many people out there wanting these things like us, and with all the tech, ingenuity and 3D printers out there some one will come to our rescue. :rolleyes:

Yeah, what it takes to setup the templates for the router is quite time consuming. I can only imagine the 3D printer isn't much better having to use Cad to create the emblem and then sand and paint the emblem. Starting to look like the $420 is a cake walk. I'd go for that if the emblem was nicer.

You mean $840 plus shipping and plus installation. Think I’ll cancel this project and stick to the ones I have :cool:
