Water Tank gauge board replacement?

Yeah, I thought the same thing. Waht was that about @techmitch?

Without going back through the seven pages, is it the drive transistors that look to be the major common fault, or are there others? I saved the component data from one of your earlier entries (thanks for that) but won't be getting back to the boat until next Spring.

Jim is fixing the boards, four transistors go bad apparently, guessing they are the led drivers.

Amazing thanks Jim!! I will send you a dm when its in the mail! Have a wonderful evening!

Yes you may.
Hey Jim, i was visiting Florida last week and sent the board to you with a return envelope addressed to a friend of mine that lives there. Thanks again for taking care of this for me.

They got it!! Happy New Year Jim and thank you so much for taking care of that for me!

@speakrdude/Jim, do you see any advantage of upping the power dissipation capabilities of the 2N3906? Looking at specs, it seems that changing to a 2N2907A might take some of the strain off the gate. 'Just spit-balling here... https://www.mouser.com/datasheet/2/849/2n2907a-2577411.pdf
I have not a clue but that sounds good. I do know however thatthe two resistors on the side of the board will burn you as they get super-hot! Probably why the display doesnt stay on like the waste tank does.

In a previous post, I told someone after 6 years of mine being repaired, it seems to have failed again.
But I guess Im just not using very much water this winter. As of today, the level went to 3/4!
Shew!

Good afternoon Jim. Still doing those water level switch repairs? Mine sounds like the exact problem as the “hundreds” of others on here have had. Cheers, Mike
