So last 3 times I been to the Boat the generator cranks right up runes fine will run everything for about an hour or a little longer then shuts down. The next morning it will start right up and will do basically the same thing, anyone ever had this to happen to them ? suggestions ???

Thanks B.B.

What is the fuel level in the tank? The generator fuel pick up is higher in the tank than the main engine pick up.

Well I ran the tanks down lower than I ever have in 8 years because fuel was so high and the first time it happened I thought that may be the reason. So I filled up to 3/4 tank on each side and took off and the same thing happened so I figured that marked off that theory......

I'm wondering if the electric fuel pump ran dry and damaged it.

Westerbeke fuel pumps are known to overheat when going bad. Take the old pump to NAPA or similar, they can match for much less than factory.

Yeah I think I'm gonna start with the fuel pump.......

I forgot that I never posted the results to my generator problem but I did finally put a new fuel pump on this spring and that was definitely the problem. Thanks for all the replies and help....BB
