What happend to CSR?

I don't know but I think it's safe to say that the problems experienced yesterday are not due to our computers or the result of the browser we use!

I tried to get on yesterday and it took my password and would not let me on the site? messed up

seems to be working fine now...

The db was moved to a different server as part of planned maintenance. Something went amiss during the move. It was completely unrelated to any of the other issues you guys are wanting to be so right about.

Cap

I don't know about your retail business, but, in the I.T. business there are no coincidences.

Your DB move fixed the speed problems that folks have been complaining about. Based on your comment, it was not intentional, but nonetheless, it has fixed the problem.

That leads to one of two conclusions:

a. the physical server or attached hardware was the problem and moving to a different server has eliminated the hardware problem
b. the database config was the problem and during the repair/restore the database was fixed

I don't think that anyone here is trying to "be so right" about your web site problems. I believe that the membership was simply trying to bring to your attention that the web site was experiencing a problem that needed to be investigated by the person or persons that you pay to maintain the site. I would certainly want to know if my customers had a poor experience on my web site.

We manage about 100 servers and about 1,000 PCs. We deal with performance complaints on a regular basis. You had a performance problem and now you do not. The problem did not just go away on its own, therefore something happened during the maintenance period solved the problem.

Take it for what it is worth.

Well, since it was planned maintenance, maybe it would have been good biz to at least post a notice that maintenance would be occurring during....

Then, no one would be upsetting the Admin by accident... :smt021

When the drones moved to another area things started working a lot better here but sometimes I still have to adjust the rabbit ears.

The move was mentioned in one of the 5 threads started by the same couple of people about the same problem. The site speed has not changed for me. Still honky dory. I'm glad its fixed for you guys. Especially you Cap. I don't have a clue about these computer thingy's or running websites so please forgive my ignorance.

Jim, Have a internet drink with me and don't worry about the crybabies on here. :smt024
