Wireless security camera suggestions

What about the synch module? That has to be plugged into a router correct? I wouldn't be able to do that, looking for a standalone.

The Blink module needs a 110v power source. It connects wirelessly to your Wi-Fi. Blink claims a 100 foot range from the cameras to the module. 2 year battery life with Li-on batteries. If you go this way get the silicone covers to improve the water resistance.

Both Blink and Wyze utilize a USB power cord into the 110v adapter. You could easily run them off the 12v system if you wish.

I have Arlo at home and Blink for the boat. Blinks simplicity makes it perfect for what I'm using it for, motion plus being able to live view the stern during hi/low tides. My sync module is plugged into a salon outlet and the camera is mounted outside 30-40' away with no signal issues.

What kind of real world Blink battery life are you guys seeing? I've only been using it for a few months.

it truly depends on the activity the camera sees. If the camera is going off one to two dozen times a day you'll get about four months battery life. Trust me I know. Most of my cameras get a year+ on the battery, don't think I've had one get close to two years.

I'm averaging about a year at home. A few outside and a few indoors on the lower level. I was tempted to use Blink at the boat but went with Wyze for the pan and tilt features.

I have a ring battery operated cam outside works great and the battery lasts for months I bought a second battery it records to the cloud for about $3 a month I wanted to tie it into our home ring app so I don’t have multiple apps to look at different locations it’s all on the one screen that was the main reason I went with ring.
I also can access my onboard cams through google desktop remote
Both work pretty well. This is the ring view

Do either of you guys have wifi hotspots on board or just the marina wifi? My marina wifi is very hit and miss...thinking of a hotspot for a solid connection.

I have a Rogue Wave DualPro that feeds any WiFi I select into my router which rebroadcasts my own wifi...I connect to that. The Rogue seems to do a good job of amplifying available signals...

looks great
is that a total of $3/month or $3/device per month?

I also have a rogue wave that will work but our marina has good WiFi (on spot)
And I believe it’s $3 per device for the cloud storage.

Trying to figure all this stuff out. I have several wifi cameras on board, all are connected wirelessly to the marinas wifi and I have no problem viewing them while the boat is in home slip. The problem I am trying to solve is, when we travel to a different marina I have to reconnect/reprogram all the cameras to the local wifi. What I have in mind, if it is possible, is to have a single onboard apparatuses that all cameras, tv's, computers, would be connected to, then I would only have to reset/reprogram a single device to the local wireless wifi. What should I be looking for ? A router ? A modem ? A combo ? Help

A travel router. TP LINK AC 750 is what I use.

I've had great luck with it but they keep adjusting our wifi settings.... so I'm adding a hot spot.
