Putting the boat away for the winter - would you wax the stainless steel rails or use never dull?

I run the buffer wheel along all the rub rails after I've waxed the boat. There's always enough wax left on the pad to clean them up nice. After that, when I wash the boat I just rub them down with the soapy brush I'm using on the deck and rinse them off. A quick drying with a clean towel makes them really shine.Terrific - so you wax them and use the wheel to buff them off?
My rails are badly tarnished. Any ideas how to get the tarnish off and bring back the shine?
Barkeeps Friend. Publix for about 50 cents a can. Great for removing rust stains. Damp cloth, make a paste in the cloth and rub. Wash off, and wipe down.Awesome, I’ll get some and give it a try and let you know the results
