Hello to All,,,I finally got this boat out 3 times last week,,,,Ran Great,,But need some help on the Trim.
When I put the trim fully down,,the gauge still reads 1/4 up or first line.
Pops out of the water Great,,I go to trim it abit and the gauge barly moves.I know I am still raising the drive, but barly any movement on gauge.
I can tell by sound and RPM's that I am at limit.

Why am not seeing hardly any movement of the gauge?? I am trying to learn everyday with this boat,,should I look at replacing the 2 limit switches on the drive,or could be as simple as a wore out gauge... It is a 88

Any thoughts will be Great,Thanks

I need to add that this outdrive was the only year that they painted it All White,,and I have 1 White sensor and 1 Black sensor on it now!!

Second Issue,,, Speedo will only go to 42,,I know I am doing Way more then that,,,I replaced the broken pick-up.
Do they make pick-ups that only go so for,,I bought on E-###

I just got done buying acouple Apps for my cell phone for a GPS Speedo,,tested both out in my car and both were spot on to my digital in the vechical.
Plan on going out tues. and seeing what they read

I just read a thread from Monday,,and it really leans me to New limit switches,,,I do have the Trailer switch,,so plan o just bummimg that abit and see what happens.

I have read a lot about not doing this at much RPM's,due to the support issue,,should not even attempt???

Check fluid,,All Good and clean,,,,as a Updated Pump with the plastic reservoir and dual solendiods..

Mercruiser didn't get the memo about using marine grade tinned wiring on these senders. Totally short lived crap, probably sourced
from Walmart. The weak link for sure, and not the gauge

Speedo's were also sketchy and inaccurate

Thanks ,,I was looking at the wire used in the sensors,,,found a brand that said ,,Made of tinned wire,,,good chance this is were the issue lies.... Should I still switch to GPS Speedo??

Also ,,would I have to pull the drive to put all the New wiring through,,I would assume so
