Posting for a friend that has a Sabre 432 SE powered by Cummins Zeus pods. I thought the folks here might have some insight. His question below:
Vesselview7 Missing Pod Angle icon indicator.
When we sea trialed our' 17 42 SE last October the icon was there. Boat was winterized and hauled a month later. After launch, I noticed there was no icon at the top of Vessel view7 Engine screen. The 45degree to 45 degree tick marks are there, but no icon. Mercury manual says the tick marks and icon are defaulted "off" and needs to be turned on in Settings. The settings page on my VV7 does not have the same page to turn this on or off. Any idea what happened? And how to restore?
I am thinking my issue might be cleared with a reset. I downloaded a VV7 manual and there are a couple of ways to reset, I think. One way is to use the Setup wizard to auto find all the sensors with ignition switch to on. I am thinking my problem is the processor cannot talk to the pod angle sensor in my case. The other way is to go to preferences and turn steering indicator on. Not sure if my model VV7 has this menu. I am nervous about trying Wizard setup for fear of messing something up. It seems there is a way to save current settings on a micro SD card. If true, I might try using the Setup, wizard.
