460 DA Owners Thread

as far as flushing the ac system. Concrete etch and prep is 15 bucks a gallon at Home Depot and is the same thing as barnacle buster. So go there and get a few gallons and send me a check on the mail for the difference. ;) totally kidding but do save yourself some cash.

LOL ..... I still have a gift card for HD so I'll have to stop there and get some ASAP. Thanks again for the help.

Actually should use the 10 micron filters in the Racor

Cummins and Tony Athens recommend 30 micron filters. What makes you say 10? The last chance on engine spin on is a 2 micron

right. Where would I plug in the bluetooth? Is it in the back of the Bose or somewhere else?

the bose has an auxiliary input on the rear for RCA jacks so if you use something like that soundlink then it plugs into that.

Perfect! Thank you very much. I haven’t been back there but assume there is an electrical outlet behind that system?

The electrical outlet is behind the left breaker panel. You just remove the screws from the edge and it swings open like a door. I needed a 1 ft extension cord because 2 power packs wouldn’t fit in the outlet so maybe have one handy before you start the install.

That's the Cummins recommendation I got. And I believe Tony actually recommends additional filtration from 30 down to a "true" 2 micron.

I tried searching and didn't find an answer.

On my 460, the anchor on it looks awful small for such a big heavy boat. I can't tell the weight but on the side it says "Kodiak bear ..... XYZ".

Two questions come to mind:

* What size anchor is it, actually? Looks to be maybe 38lb?
* Is this anchor enough to hold this boat in sand, mud?

Yes, I'm over on Rock Creek. I had my 41 Formula over there at Edwards on Frog Mortar --- see you're over that way. Crazy tuna!!!! :).

Regarding the anchor , have you spent many nights on the hook? I am considering getting a 55/60 lb anchor to ensure I can sleep at night on the hook

We spent many a night on the hook, never an issue, we do Mikes quite a few times, A friend is co owner of Tuna. I'll get some info off the anchor.

I'm right on Rock Creek and can see Mike's from my door and from the boat. Small world. Would love to exchange war stories as I learn about this 460 :)

LOL I didn't plan on standing/sitting on sliding door..... I just wanted sure about the fiberglass right there. Thank you.
Update: checked out the situation with the motors that move the front windshield up and down. Port one isn't responding.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement?

Also, it appears the port motor is jammed or something. :( I think I might be able to remove it from inside but wow —— I feel like a huge guy up on that windshield like that with very little room to work

I get them from Granger, you can find them on the internet, search linear actuator

The actuators are easily ordered from progressive automations. I ordered one yesterday. The rubber boot they sell with them is a great idea as well.

Hi folks, I know that I’ve asked a lot of questions but hey, that’s part of why this site is here, right?

So I have noticed that my front spotlight doesn’t move (up, down or side to side) but I’m getting power to the touch pad and see the light illuminating and it beeps when I press on buttons.

Any guidance on how best to troubleshoot? I was going to try and check on the ground up in the anchor locker first but is there an inline fuse or something that I should be looking for? If so, where is it?
