Anyone remove the coffee maker from the galley? Mine just died and I think I’d like to replace it with one that fits in the same way. I will try to find the part number in the owners manual when I get home if no one unloaded one or has it handy.

I've removed mine.

I don't believe you will find a replacement part number. You could take down the dimensions and do an online search for one that would be close.

I opted to use a standard brand instead and now have more room inside the cabinet.

I did. But I didn't replace it with another. We keep a Keurig on the counter next to the stovetop. I took out all the supporting brackets in the cabinet and we use it for storage. I ran an extension cord from the AC outlet up into the cabinet so we have an additional power outlet there.

okay . need help figuring out why we are not getting fuel to start engines after repowering 2 new engines
we have power at the fuel pomp but no fuel coming
anyone with knowledge please help thx

Anyone using a davit for storage of their dinghy on their swim platform? What type and manufacturer. All suggestions are welcome. Have a 11ft soft bottom Dinghy.

Rudy, I have a Naughtly set of Davits with a 10-4 Highfield aluminium bottom and a 20 hp.motor. With the swim platform so low to the water I have been having issues with the back wash when I slow down. The water pushes up on the dinghy and it has broken a piece of the mount last year and this year it cracked the platform. Everything sits too low to the water. I am pulling my hair out trying to find some way to fix this. I was even thinking about moving the platform up 8 inches to the edge of the rub rail, but I haven't figured how to get to the back of the engine room to put bolts through. Greg

I currently have trick davit system (https://www.trickdavit.com/products.php) I have a zodiac 310 RIB and a Merc 20 4 stroke. (also use a merc 15 and 25 two stroke) I keep getting hairline cracks in the swim platform from the weight distribution. (and sometimes I forget to pull the drain plug and the weight of the boat filled with water causes the cracks) I am sick of grinding, glassing and re-gel coating. I am upgrading this year. I have purchased dinghy davits extended (http://dinghydavits.com/extended mount.html) and am going to fix the hairline cracks (again) and add a stringer under and across the platform. This will help to support the weight with better cantilever effect and also will support a larger steering rig should I choose to upgrade. I am also going to modify the mounts on the new system to take the adjustable larger mounts from the trick davit. I like this system because with the pull of a pin they are removable. Lastly in the stern locker I have a wench with a wireless remote I use to pull up the dink onto the davits with minimal human force.

Jason, it looks like this mount will be under your platform. This will be way to low to the water unless you have a different platform that is higher up on the boat. You may have some issues with this set up with backwash when slowing down. Greg

I'll be interested to see pics of that new system, installed. Given our low our swim platforms reside, I can't get my head around a system that mounts underneath...

Anyone go up to a Group 31 Battery? Does the batter fit in the tray? Looks like it would. My house batteries are on their way out and the boat lives on a mooring so They get quite a bit of use. I got 6 seasons out of some $100 exide nautilus. so it's not like they owe me a penny. Also what is everyone using for batteries? prob not going AGM because I don't feel like rewiring a charger... ( I do have them for the inverter and Gen)

I have Group 31's as the 4 for my engines/house. I bought the Duracell deep cycle Marine batteries from Sam's Club. $99 each. At that price you'll never convince me to pay more for a different technology (unless paying N times more yields more than N times the life of these, which it never does).

I buy simple lead acid as well. They seem to last 3 to 4 years pretty easily and I have never had a problem killing any of them with a stereo. Especially with everything on the boat switched out to LED now. Oftentimes, when you do kill them, Walmart, Autozone, Orielly's, etc. will pro-rate back some money towards the new ones if they did not meet their rated 4 or 5-year life. I think there are only 3 or 4 companies that actually make them anyway. All with different brand stickers. I think the Optima type stuff might be a little overrated for a slow moving boat for their cost. Getting your 38 Cigarette airborne on every other wave would be a different scenario.

Scooper, Did they fit in the factory trays?

Scooper and Greg. This should help you get your head around it. So I have the system already. See attached. Seeing how low the mount is I see the conundrum. But this is my response. I have the old davit bracket mounts installed in the newer Davit base attached. The pin is installed on both brackets in the attached images. I am going to custom cut a 1 inch thick starboard to the dimensions of the old dingy brackets. This will replace the smaller one that came with the new davit system matching the base of the newer dingy bracket adding 1 inch to the base. This should raise it giving me 8 1/4" higher clearance from the base of the davit system. This will put me exactly at the height the current system and should be fine. Does this all make sense? 20201119_173858.jpg 20201119_173905.jpg
