:-(My mom, last night back in Ohio. She was in hospice since 11/21. 88 yo. Cant say i was surprised. I aint been back since before she got admitted . I remember her young pretty funny sitting at her kitchen table not laying in a hospital bed wasting away.
DON’T say a word. I dont deal with death well. She was a fine proper funny lady. Made the best dam spaghetti sauce from scratch.
The world is just a little emptier today.

I saw the play with him. Farking amazing, never forget it. He portrayed a broken man with 3 daughters perfectly!

The support to the front was not without it's problems. My Dad said he went days without any food. One time he caught a chicken, planned to eat it soon as he was somewhere he could build a fire. He carried that live chicken zipped inside his jacket for a couple days. He said he felt sorry for it and let it go, hungry as he was he wasn't eating it raw.Always in awe about them ww2 guys. Got shipped out and there was no ‘tours’. You were coming back when war ended or body parts missing.
I mean think about it. Foxholes, eating canned crap, wiping your ass with leaves, for years. Dam, thats rough.
Have a buddy did Nam in the Navy. He said had he known he would rather gone to prison, better food and company. And he wasnt shleping thru a jungle like the grunts.
No...that was George Santos. So your dad started the tradition of letting a bird live on thanksgiving.
