We'll need more info. Alot. Turning over means cranking. Are you saying it won't crank, at all? Has it ever worked? Do you get any sounds when trying to crank? What has changed/work done since it last worked? Fuel injected or carb'd?Not sure where to begin. When I try to start the boat I get a constant alarm that sounds. Motor won’t even turn over. Appreciate all ideas and help.
Boat was just taken out from storage and this was initial startup. We'll need more info. Alot. Turning over means cranking. Are you saying it won't crank, at all? Has it ever worked? Do you get any sounds when trying to crank? What has changed/work done since it last worked? Fuel injected or carb'd?
Yes this is exactly the issue I’m having. However my switch is not off.If I turn my ignition key to “on” with the battery switch set to “off” I get a constant alarm.
Is this the issue you have?
The alarm you have is because the doesn't yet have oil pressure. This is the same as it would have been every other time you started the engine.Boat was just taken out from storage and this was initial startup.
The motor is carb’d. The alarm is constant and boat acts like the kill switch is activated. When I say it won’t crank, I’m saying it likes something electrically won’t even allow you to try it.
I’ve never had a solid alarm before when starting since it was new.The alarm you have is because the doesn't yet have oil pressure. This is the same as it would have been every other time you started the engine.
(in bold)... flipping the kill switch to "off" will NOT stop the engine from cranking. Only from starting. Please explain better.
