So let's hear about and see your cars.

I like the idea of a fun toy of a 3rd car, but I'm not sure how much I'd drive it. So I don't spend a lot of mental energy on that.
I am the same way …we are on the boat every weekend Thursday to Mon…. I thought of getting a fancy car as a daily driver but I put a ton of miles on every year…. So I would really depreciate it bad

Oh, no doubt. I am also among this special group that needs their heads examined. I put more into my 80 C3 then it was worth. Definitely more into the boat then it is worth. I guess if you have no intension of selling then it doesn't matter. That said I recently sold my not quite concours C3 and got more then they bring but not what I had put in.
I got a '78 up on stands, taking up half my shop now since 2000. Stuff began to pile up around it, I dreaded the thought of getting to work on it, each year I'd convince myself that next year would be a better time. It's been waiting now for 23yrs. I stuck some money in rebuilding the engine. I did hear it running once on the dyno when they finished, but it sits here waiting too.

Sad, for sure. My 75 TR6 was like that for 10yrs. finally working on it and getting ready to be back on the road.

Received all the paperwork from the dealer so I could get the tag transfered and title ordered. Kept the tag off the Camaro even though the car qualifies for an antique tag.

I've used variations of it for years.

Up early this morning and off to Orlando for day one of Sick Week Florida 2024.

If you don't know, Sick Week Florida is a tour of five drag strip tracks in a week. They must drive their race cars to each track for the full tour. Each car had a tow hitch and towed their trailers between eveents. Slow cars were in the 9's and fast in the 6's. They were crossing the 1/4 mile traps at over 220 MPH.
They all run to a class and dial. The closer they get to their dial the better. Many made one run and hit their dial then pack up and drive to the Port Canaveral for some fun then off to the next track.
Driving home passed a couple of the 6 second cars towing their trailers..... One a blown 32 alter and the other a turbocharged shoebox. All BTW are door slammers.
It was completely nutz.

I've been following Sick week for a while. Cleetus has live daily video coverage if you're interested for around $9.99.

Code - sickweek

Yea saw him and drooled all over his El Camino.... And that wasn't the nicest built car there.... Must have been 200 cars at the event.

Amazing what they can do.
Oh and there was carnage - Station wagon pulled the biggest wheel stand I've ever seen then got all crossed up mid air and came back down on the track and pile drived the engine into the hood. It was a hard hit - oil and coolant everywhere.

A couple weeks ago we had some bad winter weather here in Michigan so why not test out the diving capabilities of my wife’s new Porsche, it takes off like a Jack Rabbit but doesn’t stop so well when you hit black ice, I made the dreadful call and told her I put a small dent in your car and the first thing she says is hope nobody got hurt….wow… if she was to damage the boat I don’t know if I’d be so forgiving. :-(

Hot Rod Dragweek will be in my area this year. I hope to hit Milan and watch.
