The jobs report is good. Stocks are rising in the major indices. This is good news if you are retired and not great news if you are still working and stuffing money away in a retirement account. Good news if you only have a savings account.

Kudlow on Fox Business: "We had a blowout jobs report ... I know many of my conservative friends are trying to drill holes in this report. But you know what, folks? It is what it is. It's a very strong report. Not every economic stat should be viewed through a political lens."

Keep in mind, there isn’t a ton of “policy” behind this. The economy is cyclical and the president has very little to do with impacting economic indicators. Good or bad. Same when Trump was in the chair. He didn’t make the economy better for you and he didn’t make it worse for me.

Then why did I do 1000x better under Trump than under the current goof? Record sales under Trump. Raw matl available. Even people available.

Fast forward to today -- sales at record lows. Cut work hours to 4 days/week. Some employee's had to take second jobs -- maybe that the cause of the increase? Costs keep going up. Building back better my A$$.

Your anecdotes are neat. Not a data set, however. Maybe you need to do better at sales? Maybe you are operationally inefficient. I can’t speak to your struggles. But they don’t indicate the health of the overall economy. Just your tiny sliver of it.

Anecdotally, our sales are up 12.6% YoY. I hired more people this year than I have for 5-6 years and grew the team to match the growth. Salaries have gone up on average 8% this year for all my employees.

Two sides to the same economy.

I’m curious as to what specific Trump policy change would positively impact your sales in your opinion?

There is quite a growing cottage industry explaining why some people feel better under Trump. The funniest one, to me, is Daddy issues, Trump's followers come from families where Mothers ruled the roost or does that make it Mommy issues and they are overcompensating by following a bully? I couldn't quit laughing so I doubt there is much to this theory. I found it especially funny after reading the mental illness posts on this site. We the people perhaps could use some mental illness tests.

Another reason you feel better, Trump's communication style, is geared to television so he sounds modern and he tells people he has fixed issues, immigration for example. He didn't fix them. Recently there has been much written comparing Trump's immigration policy and President Biden's approach. The problem with Trump's tweeks is that most tweeks were not legal and it was causing a very high percentage of "illegal" immigrants being released from custody into our cities during his term. Trump was only successful during Covid when all arrivals were stopped. Biden's communication style is old school talking points about policies and how well they are working or not and most people stop listening before the punchline.

Probably your information sources are skewed. For example, I was able to watch FOX news at my MIL's house in early January. Somewhere President Biden gave a speech condemning January 6 rioters. Some guy named Hannity must have spent a half hour chastising President Biden for not giving a speech about the brave Americans who served at Valley Forge. President Biden's speech was about the crisis of January 6. Per Hannity of FOX, Biden is a lowlife who's lack of patriotism is appalling. I'm curious how many Valley Forge speeches have you heard in your life? That same kind of skewed announcing was in another show by another person I've never heard of, Jesse Waters. I looked him up and he's already saying the double flip is because of President Biden, when he probably has been here since Trump.

In the last couple of days I've seen a couple of newspapers, stating that Trump has put the kibosh on the GOP plan to stop immigration at the border so I assume, you, Woody etal. will quit your bitchn.
