Basically, you would need to purchase the Bennett Trim Tab Position Sensors, tie that in to a NMEA2K Network to relay that data. To get that Data in to Smartcraft, you would need to purchase a Merc Monitor but if you have a NMEA2K compatible plotter, you can send the data there to view as a more cost effective alternative. I think Bennett actually has a panel of their own that will display the data if you dont want to send to the plotter.

This approach is correct for data that SmartCraft can use. There is no trim tab display on any of the SmartCraft gauges, so while the pathway would 'work'. Nothing would display. You could pass AIS data that way as well, but nothing would display. My setup does just that via nmea0183 and the AIS data is just ignored.
