Anyone know where I can get a new fist mic and mic cradle for the Raymarine vhf radio? With the mic connected to the radio, I get no audio, cannot change channels - need to move around the cable to get it working. The cradle also broke over the weekend. Thanks.

I have a 2006 with T4.3 Alphas and performs great with a family of 5 (3 adults and 2 12 year olds). Has more than enough power for all our watersports and cruising needs. Dont have a genny and have not found a great need for it yet. After a while you will crave a larger boat having 5-6 on it all...

Thanks all for your comments. I have decided to hold off on a new install this winter and look at it again in the summer. That will give me some time to look at other boats for install ideas and possibly try out our 280 in LM first. There is always bigger (boats that is) if I dont like it :)

Thanks for the information Scott. I have not found anyone looking to get rid of a C80. The dealer was talking me into a C70, Radar and GPS installed - but I was unsure about Lake Michigan so I held off for now.

Did you mount the C80 yet in your 280? How was your visibility after mounting? The problem with the 280 is there is no space for electronics, so on the dash is the only spot. I have seen plenty of them where your vision is considerably restricted when seated. Interested in your opinion...

Just purchased our 280 used in Sept and will be keeping it slipped in summer (fresh water). As far as I know its not had bottom paint applied since new from Sea Ray. I was thinking of just one coat, are more coats recommended?

How often do you typically need to have new bottom paint put on? Yearly, every other year?

I have the 4.3's and typically have 5 adults on board when I am out. It gets on plane quickly and has no problems with lack of power. Good luck on your next purchase.
