    Careful if the floor is mushy it is very well that the stringers are as well So just be prepared ..

    Thanks ill definatly take a look at that ! I actually had an old AMC 258 that had that same issue I rebuilt the motor vated the block bored it out new pistons still had the knock finally found it to be a stopped up oil pump.

    Well it seems that every step forward requires a step back finally got a chance to take some core samples of my deck ....and looks like I get to replace the deck. Its kinda weird though the deck is rotten but still very stiff (no soft spots) and the foam is dry. I guess ill know more when I take...

    all the main and rod bearing looked very good ! If I wasn't as anal as I am id just keep all the bearings (going with new main and rod bearings). Water pump looks to be in working out but has a lot of rust build up so im going to replace it hate to start pushing all that rust around a good...

    Don't know how these bigger guys do it but when I used to take out my families 44 ft Nauta line I used to just put the motors in Neutral use a boat hook to get me close then step off the stern and just use the railings to ease the boat into the slip. Providing you have easy winds and calm waters...
