I don't give a shit how it's perceived. I do care that I don't want an expensive door replacement. I've had family and guest go to close the door, and when it didn't close completely at first reopen then slam it to get the latch to seat. That repeated slamming damaged it.
Thread locker will work.
What destroys these latches are repeated door slamming. Each slam causes to screws to back out.

Your exhaust is coming out at 400+ degrees from the exhaust valve, that hot air hits water, so the result can be steam, and becomes more pronounced depending on water and atmosphere conditions.
Fine for that. But the jerks that are too lazy to maintain their AC and run thousands of gallons of city water through their AC, which the fellow residents of the dock ultimately pay for, are the scumbags.
