I did basically the same thing except I didn't use any adhesive on the large rubber gasket. I pushed it into the bell housing right upto the compression ring for the bellows. Now I am wondering if this was the right way.

When putting the sterndrive on is it okay to put the rubber gasket in first then slide the drive in? It seemed like everytime I put it onto the drive It wouldn't slide in but get pinched and push out?

I am trying to get the sterndrive back in but i am having a hard time. Any tricks to make it easier? Second question is does anyone know what is the purpose of the little ball and spring on the starboard side of the drive?

I am installing the anode set and I noticed that the are no holes in the bearing carrier or the trim cylinders to attatch them. What do you do in this situation? Second question is do the anodes have to be directly against bare metal or can I paint the area on the drive before I install them?

I began to wax the boat today with maguires marine cleaner/wax. As I was applying it the bow started to turn pink. The applicator was new, the boat is white and the wax is beige. So can anyone tell me what is happening?????

Has anyone ever replaced the side windows of the bimini top? When opened the top set the side windows were in very bad shape. I was also thinking of possibly making a template and trying to make my own. Has anyone ever tried a project like this?

Thanks for the info. The boat was kept in NJ. Since I just bought I don't know if it was winterized. Probably should have asked. The crack is about 3" long. I think I am just gonna bite the bullet and change them both.
