Well my 2002 ECM-555 is back and installed. Engine started like new.
Lessons learned: If you suspect something wrong with control module ( delayed actions, false warning horns ) be careful believing fault codes and replacing good parts when it is the ECM at fault.
Also: can’t say enough...
Update: after two mechanics could not read fault codes I sent ECM to specialist in California.
They got back to me the day they received it saying “module is dead and needs repairing.” $650.00 plus shipping. Getting it back in a few days.

Unfortunately your in a tough spot. (I was there to) the cost of replacing these motors is so “low” that a job like this starts to be impractical. Replacement heads are about $800 each. With labor and additional parts you quickly get over $3,000.
