The last 3 digits in the HIN are 102 so then it's a 2002 produced in 2001. Perhaps that also explains why it has a 5.0 EFI instead of a 5.0 MPI which I understood was a base engine change for the 2002 model year.

We expect to be regular visitors there. Lots of great places in the North Channel, western Georgian Bay and northern Lake Huron and we're hoping to see them all in the next few years!

I ended up taking a pass on the 215EC and bought a 2003 245 Weekender. I'm a little confused as the previous owner claimed it to be a 2003 but the HIN ends in 02. Is it possible that it's a 03 in spite of that HIN? The boat has the 5.0 EFI and Bravo 3 outdrive. Anxious to get it out on the water!

Greetings all...new to boating and looking at a nice 2000 215 Express Cruiser. Anything particular to that boat to be aware of? I had come across a dedicated thread for this model but can't seem to find the right word combo in the search function. Can someone set me straight... Dave
