Does anyone have any tips for getting a motor that has been sitting running? I tried turning mine with a socket on the crank and it won't, I'm hoping a little mystery oil in the cylinders will free it up

so if my engine ends up being no good i could pick up a used bone yard motor and put the special pieces on it to get her going?

hello, im new to the boat engine world. im wondering what the differences are between a marine engine and a normal car engine. i may be looking at some in depth repairs and am just wondering if its a whole new world or that i may know whats going on.
