    Re-attaching screws to engine cover??

    My 1996 175 Series Five has an engine cover that will no longer hold the four screws that attach the engine cover to the piano hinge on the stern. The wood is soft but not rotten. Perhaps a stainless steel screw with extra bite? Anybody resolved this issue with satisfaction? Thank you!
