if you have a pad type switch at the helm, you will have a box by your batteries. beside the box there should be a latching solenoid. looks like a regular solenoid but works a little different. that feed the control relay with power that is in your anchor locker
Hello all,
I have been trying to track down a water leak for a couple of years. This past fall I removed the wall shelf on the starboard side and found 3 screw holes that looked like were miss drilled for the rub rail I fixed them but still got water in front of fridge and under trash can...
With the batteries on the light is on, with the batteries off light is off. When I turn the batteries back on the light comes on with out me touching the button. The windlass works from the helm only
I have a 2007 280 sundancer that I have been having trouble with the windlass. At first I had to hold the button in to get it to work either on the bow or at the helm. When I would push the button to turn it on the light would not stay lit but if I held it then it would work. The other day I...
Could someone please tell me what the end play should be on the prop shaft? My counter rotation drive has .380
My starboard drive has .125 Also what the toe should be on the drives. I think the marina mechanic is not telling me the truth since he replaced them. I have a noise on the port side...
Since my previous post Searay has arranged for the marina where the boat went for winter storage to replaced transom assemblies and outdrives. Thought this was great till I got the boat back. Had to finish alot of the loose ends myself. Was not a very good job. My question is that they said the...
I would look at the carb and prop. Sounds like the secondary's are not opening up. Make sure linkage is not binding up to back butterfly on carb. You could have a fuel problem in the filter not allowing fuel to carb. Does it seem like it takes off ok at first then dogs down? The nick in the prop...
I use meguiars #50 cleaner wax, then starbrite teflon, followed by interlux wax sealer every spring. Never had black streaks or anything that cant be wiped off with your hand and water. Only have to do it once every 5 months. It is a long spring process but well worth the time. I hand apply and...
Well i want to start by thanking everyone for the responses. I am a newbie here and the members of this forum were great. Frank and skolbe hit the nail on the head. It was a wiring problem from the factory that connected my ac unit to engine not the galvanic isolator. After many many calls to...
That info was from Johnathon DeWitt at Sea Ray Boats. The mercury marine master tech where the boat is being winter stored told me the zincs were correct and I paid him to test the water where the boat was in the slip
I will start by saying, this is the second Sea Ray I have owned and I am very happy with my first 240 DA. I bought this 2007 280 DA new as a left over. I got a deal because my neighbor and I bought the two left overs. The boat was delivered the first week of June to Havre De Grace Maryland which...
