BP oil spill syndrome class action lawsuit

For me these questions are not just interesting and theoretical. I live 1 mile from the water in Navarre, Florida, which is midway between Pensacola and Destin. I boat on the intracoastal waterway between those two cities. The passes leading out to the ocean are now closed at Perdido and...

Installing Auto Trim Tab Control on my 260DA

I just installed the same unit on my 07 240 DA, I built a small shelf out of starboard and attached the shelf to the area below the cutout for the steering and wiring harness pass through below the helm console. I mounted the unit on top of the shelf, ensuring it was level and parallel to the...

240 SunDancer Wet Floor in Bow

After checking what previous posters suggested, also check the tightness of the latches on your portholes. I have experienced each of these types of leaks. Shower sump float switch failed, drain lines from the head into the sump box were loose. Drain lines under sink were loose and also had...

    Pensacola / Fort Walton Area

We have lived in this area for over ten years. We started boating with a twenty foot bowrider and moved up to our 240 DA about three years ago. Your boat would be great down here on the bays. Take a look at some maps of the area and you'll see why. We boat exclusively on the Intracoastal...

    Friday-perfect boating day

Hampton, it was your pics that motivated me to post some. Keep trying to get down to your marina. Plan on towing to it this summer and exploring your neck of the woods. We retired Marines love the Air Force facilities!

    Friday-perfect boating day

It doesn't get any better then this. Bays and coastal waterways smooth, wind less then 5 knots, tide is rising. Had to go out, took an extended lunch break and launched form Navarre Beach boat ramp and cruised to Pensacola Beach via the ICW. Thought I would share some pics.

    Staying warm in FL

Thanks for the response jpk33. I am just a little paranoid of doing something that will cause another problem. We are actually forecast for possible snow flurries here on Thursday night. I need to move further south!

    Staying warm in FL

What is the best method to protect my engine from freezing, here in the Panhandle of Florida we are hitting below 26 for 3 - 4 hours straight. I have drained the engine and freshwater system. Do I need to do more? Lightbulb in bilge perhaps, I have an industrial shatterproof that I can put...

Heading to Destin in a couple weeks

Wife and I just ate at Harry T's Lighthouse in Harborwalk Village( Harborwalk Village is located at the Emerald Grand Resort and is the tall set of condos near the bridge). There are a number of shops and restaraunts there. I can also recommend Commanders Palace in the Emerald Grand (very...

    Trailer for 2007 240 Sundancer

Welcome, an excellent choice of Sea Ray, we have had ours for over two years and love it. We trailer constantly here and have had no problems at all. The dealer took the time to set up the trailer properly and we just glide on and off everytime. Our model is the Magic Tilt TML 2473 and seems...

    Small Gelcoat gouges

Launched Monday from Navarre Beach Boat Ramp, was on Santa Rosa Sound just north of Navarre on plane when a sickening thud was heard on the starboard side and my wife spotted a 10-12 foot piece of lumber behind our boat. We stopped and checked things out, no water in bilge, mechanicals seemed...

    boat traffic down

I'll second the crappy weather, the number of days when I've taken the boat down but haven't launched are way up. I've lived here for 11 years now and don't recall such a crappy spring time, the wind never seems to let up. As I posted on another thread I was out all day saturday docked at...
