270win,
make sure to use the original "lids" as a template when you cut the new one's out of Starboard. They are not perfectly rectangular... Also, make sure you know where the Teak Trim came from, and put them in the same configuration. I didn't, and it took me a while to get it right so...
I still don't know how those freighters get through the channel into Lake Macatawa? That is not a straight shot by any means.
Nice pics. Thank you for sharing.

I think the boat you are referring to can be seen on Yachtworld.com.
"I intended for it to be a sleeper but the engine sounds WAY too nasty to fool anyone. :)"
very nice!
I will work on this for you. Whe i have them ready to be sent, i will let you know, and you can then send me your email.
very nice! is that a 400? 389? 425? what kind of HP?
I like the stock trim.
I have the merc manuals and the SeaRay manual showing the electrical layout, etc.
if you need the manuals, I can scan/email to you if needed. I have them somewhere...
I've heard that the Alpha1's can take up to 300hp, so you might be ok there.
With the speakers, i think i will be making some sort of mount with starboard inside the gunnels? Not many flat surfaces...
i don't see any reason why Starboard wouldn't work?
For me, it was asthetics. I really don't like the stark white against the bow. It looks a bit out of place. I will be replacing the cabin hatch/access with a piece that matches the anchor box. I think it will provide a much warmer...
There's really not much you can do about that veneer, other that paint, replace, or resurface if in the condition you describe. The veneer does not take stain of any kind.
I had a new anchor box hatch made (in photos) with teak veneer (over marine plywood) and flanked with original trim...
Thanks!
yes, i did use Cetol on the cabin doors and bar area. I'm not sure that was the right product for those panels, but it came out nice, and is holding up so far. I do like the Cetol for the actual teak (holding up extremely well!). Lots of elbow grease...
Not many places to...
270win,
Here are some pics that include the king starboard in action:

I looked at trying to add insulation, and there's really not much room to anything substantial. We bought some small soft-side coolers that fit inside and do a...
270Win,
Welcome to the "tiny cruiser" club!
I had the same problem with the hatches in the stern. This is called a "fishbox" in the original brochure. I've used it as a cooler, without much success (there's no insulation and the heat from the engine melts ice very rapidly). Anyway, I...
