Target. Sunbeam #072-01-0354 just replaced mine last week. Unfortunately only comes in black. i put double stick tape on the feet to keep it from moving.
i have a 1997 Sundancer with twin 7.4 carbureted engines. One will run for 30 seconds then quit. wont restart. After sitting for several hours it will restart and run for 30 seconds. replaced fuel filter, cap and rotor.
from what I can see it is just around the first 3 screw holes. I sucked out the water with a shop vac which was only about 4 oz. I am planning on testing the area with a moisture meter later this week.
I was painting the bottom and noticed water dripping out around mounting bracket on the starboard trim tab. I disassembled the bracket and a little water trickled out of the left screw whole. I took a shop vac and pulled out about 4 oz of water. I had the boat surveyed last year at this time...
I buy 12 gallons of pink and put it through everything. I have been doing this for years and haven't had to replace anything. I look at it as a very cheap insurance policy.
I have always been hesitant to use synthetic oil. Is'nt there a complicated process to change over. Don't you have to make sure ALL the old oil is out of you engine because regular oil and synthetic oil don't mix?
I checked the connections at the batteries while the engine was running and I had a 19v reading on my digital meter. I disconncted the batteries cables and checked them. I was still getting a 19v reading. Do I have a serious electrical problem?
I checked all connections and cleaned them. All connections were heat shrink tubed with sealer. All looked clean. I checked connection on guage too. I still have the flucuation. Could it be as simple as bad plug wires. I have had the boat for four years and have not changed the wires.
The guage on my console shows a wide fluctuation between 12v and 16v. I have replaced the alternator and the problem still persists. The engine stalls when the guage shows 12v. When I restart the engine the guage goes right to 16v until I increase the rpms. The closer I get to 3000 rpms the...
