Ok I'll take the panel out and check the wiring. Sounds like a good idea. if not that, I'll check the gauge.

Yes the alarm continues as long as the key is on.

OK, will remove the deck plate to get to the tank, The alarm came on when the fuel dropped to E. Everything else checks out. Have good pressures on water , oil etc. Will see if alarm goes away with a new fuel sender. something came up when googled that said that the alarm was connected to...
