    Sea ray 220 srv restoration

Opinions are always good. Functionally i.e to keep clean, durability etc. Notice the black has lines so thinking would that affect durability etc? I was originally planning on the black and white. Then saw the tan and cream and thought it looked great too.

    1975 Sea Ray SRV-220

Yeah I live on an island on the lake. Worst exposure for wind on the entire lake a bad day can be 4 to 5 foot waves. So when you need to get out or you are returning the winds always seem to be more than forecast. Ie last night forecast 5 to 10. Actual was 20 to 30. Docked the sea ray 185...

Also it has the pre alpha, any benefits to upgrading to the alpha? And if I don't upgrade engine or outdrive are there specific parts...

    Sea Ray 220 SRV

Thank you both didn't realize the outdrive made a difference one mercruiser to another. I was so used to a later mercruiser outdrive so expected similar results. Also it does have trim tabs which I am not used to so I bet that made a big difference as they were partially down. Are omc...

    Sea Ray 220 SRV

I am looking to purchase a Sea Ray 220 SRV Hard Top 1978. In driving the boat, there was wind which made it incredibly difficult to dock. However out in the open water I noticed that with the wind of about 15 mph, you could not back up and turn the motor to control the direction of the boat...
