Yes, Victron 712 for 1 bank plus voltage level on second bank. Installed it myself. The only challenge was installing the lugs on the minus cable with awg 000. I lucked out as my local battery shop in Norwalk, CT lend me their huge crimping tool for a couple of hours.

Running the batteries down to 11.5V is not good for battery longevity! I installed a battery monitor for my house bank. It reports the status via Bluetooth to my phone. Based on the state of charge I will run the generator as needed!

I just went to a regular carpet store, have them the old one as a pattern, came out very nice! The backing coming off on the old one was driving me nuts!

I noticed on my 2004 420 DB a slight wining noise when in gear, this is starboard side only. Could this be the Cutless bearing? Has anyone experienced that and replaced the cutless bearings?

I know this is an old threat, but I went through this years ago, had a professional compass guys check it out. He told me the external Raymarine VHF speaker is too close to the compass in order to properly calibrate it. So I have given up on the compass, using the one from the Autopilot and GPS...

Not too far off from mine! I get 19 knots at 2350 and about 22 at WOT. Depends a bit on fuel/water level and the tide of course! I have a 2004 Sedan Bridge with the same engines.

In any case, looks like removal of medicine cabinet is required. if your hull number is one off from mine, I probably have a picture of yours in the factory. During the time mine was built (March/April 2004) they delivered 2 per week of the 420DB according to our guide.

I took a lot of pictures when my boat was built at the factory in Palm Coast. Take a look from behind the medicine cabinet in the master head. My problem is in the guest head for which I don’t have a picture!

I have that same question for the guest head! Has anyone replaced that and know the best access and what kind of fan it is? Mine rattles like crazy!
