I installed the Octopus with a Raymarine head and it works fine on my 300 with BIII's. Under 1,000 rpm you can hear the drive unit under the helm and for some the scratchy noise can be an issue. Once you get above 1,000 it cannot be heard what-so-ever.

Yes, my unit is behind the steering wheel. Is your drive unit located totally within the engine compartment or do you have cables extending outside the stern to the lower units? Do you have the part number or name?

The 3amp fuse in my forward (under the helm) ECM for my stereo has blown. My dealer is telling me that Sea Ray only sells the entire ECM unit ($800!!) and there are no single fuse available. I have a hard time understanding that statement. Has anybody heard this before. Or, better yet...
