Had a leak in the hull seam, showing up on the carpet in the cabin. Removed the cabinets, tV, etc and noticed some black stuff under the headliner and elsewhere. What is the best to clean this with
I installed the Octopus with a Raymarine head and it works fine on my 300 with BIII's. Under 1,000 rpm you can hear the drive unit under the helm and for some the scratchy noise can be an issue. Once you get above 1,000 it cannot be heard what-so-ever.
On my 300, I had water in the sump area and also under the port bench in the mid-cabin. I checked all the similar items that have been suggested on this thread. The water was the result of none of those items.
The 300 shower is a separate compartment placed inside the hull. If I leave the...
Yes, my unit is behind the steering wheel. Is your drive unit located totally within the engine compartment or do you have cables extending outside the stern to the lower units? Do you have the part number or name?
I installed an Octopus drive with the Ray Marine P70R in my 06 300DA; twin Bravo Threes on 350 Horizons. Because mine had rack and pinion steering I also had to switch out the steering cable which took about an hour and a half to do.
I do not fish but the unit performs well. The X-10...
I am considering installing an auto pilot in my 06 300Da. I will use an Octopus drive and Raymarine P70 control. Have any of you had any experience with these?
Sea Ray has always underpowered their standard power offerings. The 4.3's will struggle to get on plane with just a couple of guests on board. While I put 90% of my hours at 1,000 rpm, I always want the power to easily get up on plane with or without guests on board, you will not do that with...
So I ran into a quick thunderstorm and accelerated to get on plane and my port engine started the overheated engine alarm. I think it probably cavitated due to some wind and waves. I believe that I shut it down fairly quickly, the temp gauge registered 250 at the highest and I was able to...
The 3amp fuse in my forward (under the helm) ECM for my stereo has blown. My dealer is telling me that Sea Ray only sells the entire ECM unit ($800!!) and there are no single fuse available.
I have a hard time understanding that statement. Has anybody heard this before. Or, better yet...
Stray Cat has the setup. I have gone two days on the hook, two refers and no regard to lights at night and have been able to crank both engines. At the time I had a year on the batteries.
I had mine custom made using the existing snaps; I don’t like holes in my boat, anywhere, $610.00 on the 300. It extends from the top of the windshield to the transom. If you are worried about sun on the dash leave a beach towel under the windshield, or as I do, one of my cotton spacers I wrap...
