I would guess with the trailer, fuel, gear and water you are pushing near 10,000 lbs. That's 3300 lb axels which is doable. I would be hesitant on highway driving for a double axel trailer with a 260. In my view, well worth the extra money for a triple.
Thanks for your reply. I'm set on diesels. Longevity and cost to run are what I'm looking for. And, when I sell it down the road, resale value will be higher. My 7.3 Ford Diesel is at 310,000 miles and prrnn like a Kitten.
Thank you. It's just my Wife and I and we just don't need alot of extra space. And in my opinion, a boat close to 20,000 lbs loaded, really needs the torque of a diesel. If I could find a 340 with CAT's, that would be perfect but that is a no can do. Dennis
Evening,
My Wife and I are shopping for a 380 with CATS in the 2002-2004 range. Right now being Winter, pickings are slim. Question, on average how much is a 1000 hour PM? Also, when does the next major PM occur?
If anyone knows of such a Sea Ray coming on the Market this Spring, please PM me...

Greetings,
My Wife and I are ready to buy a 340 with 8.1's and seek advice. What issues did you learn about after buying your 340 w/8.1's? We live in NH and plan on spotting the boat in Florida. Is 10-12 k for fuel burn on a 3 week trip down the ICW from Boston a conservative number? Is...
