It does where the Seatalk wire comes from. Data travels over the wires bidirectional. RayMarine makes a box that convert NEMA 0183 to Seatalk and the other way as well. I forget it's name but you can find it on RayMarine's site.
when my engines were replaced the risers were not properly angled an so water could get back to the turbo chargers causing the to fail. Could this be the same issue with your pitted cylinder wall?
Is it an inverter or a charger? While you are away why would you want an inverter on, after all it will drain your batteries creating 120 volts AC. On the other hand, if it is a charger then you can leave it on all the time, so long as you are plugged into the shore power.

Went into the inlet and up to Belmar Marina. There were two bridges that had to be opened the bridge tenders worked together and the trip was smooth but the current in the river are very strong so be careful anchoring.
Does it smell like roten eggs, if so it could be from the water sitting in the lines too long. You might also notice the smell disappears if you get water from a different marina.

If you have vibration, that is not good and if bad enough ithe vibration will lead to a lot of other damage. Only you know how bad it is. If you are concerned get it taken care of.
You could try Costa Canvas, they do work for Viking. Also Superior Canvas. Both will come to the boat and make the canvas you need. I've used Superior they do good work as does Costa
I have older Raymarine equipment and had to purchase an inface box wo link the Chartplotter to the VHF and to the computer for passing routes from the computer to the chartplotter. It workd great
