    How often to compound/wax?

Thanks for the advice. It sounds like regular waxing is the key - I will put her on a schedule ASAP. A boat wash with Carnauba in it is a great idea as well. Thanks!

    How often to compound/wax?

I just got my boat looking BEAUTIFUL by doing a 4 step compounding job: 3M 05954 Compound 3M 05973 Compound 3M Marine Finesse-it II Glaze Meguiar's M6332 Marine Wax This took a dull/oxidized boat to a beautiful, original shine. Lot's of work, but it was worth it!! My question are twofold: 1)...

Hello, I have a Garmin echoMap 70DV and am looking for a chip with the inland maps (specifically Lake Lanier in GA). Does anyone happen to have one they want to sell....or can point me in a direction where I can obtain one without spending an arm and a leg? Thanks!

    Restore vinyl seats

I have a 2006 Sea Ray that has seen too many years in the sun, and the seats show it - The vinyl is chalky looking. I have tried several different vinyl creams/restorers to try to bring the seats back to the shiny/soft feel that the original seats have.....but with little success. Do any of...

    Replacement swim deck ladder

That looks awfully close, but mine actually slides out about 12 inches and then folds out into the water. The ones I'm finding online are fixed onto the deck and don't have that sliding capability. It's looking like I'll have to go to the dealer....or try to retrofit something onto the platform :(

    Replacement swim deck ladder

Hello - the retractable ladder on the back of my swim platform rusted out and I have been searching for a replacement. My local Sea Ray dealer said that the original part was discontinued, but he found a replacement....for $450. I really don't want to spend that much so I have been looking for...

    Nightmare scenario

Thanks everyone for the encouraging replies....I agree that the complete engine sounds like the best way to go. I may check out what would be involved with small claims court to recoup some of the costs from the original mechanic. I'd like to work on the engine a bit more as well, but the...

    Nightmare scenario

Sorry, but I don’t know the exact answer to either of these questions. I believe there are only a few hundred hours on the engine. I don’t know the exact engine other than a Mercuiser 5.7 I wish I knew a little more about the guys of the engine, but I don’t.

    Nightmare scenario

Hi folks, I wanted to share my last couple years experience with my 2006 240 Sundeck and get your feedback/comments. If you don't mind, go easy on me personally....looking back, I see that I made plenty of mistakes, and I would do a lot differently if given the chance. Also, keep in mind that I...
