    Sunbrella cleaner

An experienced buddy of mine told me about diluting white vinegar in water and put it in a spray bottle. Spray it on use a stiff bristled brush to scrub it a bit. Spray it off with a hose. It cleans it off making it look new again. And even here in the pacific NW I only have to do this once a...

    215 express cruiser 1997 winterizing ....

Cliff what are your thoughts on the RV fresh water system antifreeze? I have used it for two seasons now with no problems. I empty the water tank, put in the antifreeze run it through the back sprayer and front then rise twice for spring commissioning. Plus other than running antifreeze with...

Ok so today was shakedown II. It went perfectly. The risers and manifolds stayed at a nice warm temp. Eng temp was a perfect 180 degrees. Good day on the water. Just wish the wind would have been a lot less.

    exhaust coolant problems

Cliff Yes you're right, I just wish I would have had the thought to take pictures of each major step. This site is invaluable for guys with really nice boats (SeaRays) but on a budget to where they have to do allot of the maintenance themselves. Bryan

    exhaust coolant problems

Ok so here is the break down. So after I had everything off I inspected the Y tube and exhaust bellows with a bore scope (thanks neighbor) for any damage or parts of my melted water shutter assembly. I got it all out when I changed the impeller and zincs. I bought all the parts from Go2marine...

    exhaust coolant problems

It was real easy. I used a jam nut. Put one nut on top of the other and jam them together, after it broke free with an open end wrench on the bottom nut I used a socket wrench on the top and it spun right out. No damage to the threads.

Ok so everything apart and the manifold and riser is bad. Found a couple of sites to keep the cost down to just over $400. Getting manifold, riser, soft tubes, and water shuter assembly. Sent from my Nook using Tapatalk

    exhaust coolant problems

Ok so replaced the water pump impeller and unfortunately it looked great. So what I'm thinking now is to disconnect the fittings one at a time and see if water is making it to the manifold. On a side note two pieces of metal fell out when I removed the lower unit. Please look at the post in...

    What are these?

I removed the lower unit and these fell out. I can't find them in the manual or any mention of them in the YouTube videos for changing the water pump.
