    Exhaust flap size

Hi, I pulled my 93 ski ray spitfire out the other day did the winter and noticed the exhaust flap was gone. I forgot for measure it to order a replacement. Would anyone know if it’s a standard size? I see lots of 4” for sale etc. on amazon. Also, could I have somehow damaged the...

93 SkiRay MerCruiser Tournament 350 - carb adjustment

I found another number on the front left of the carb where it attaches to the engine. 9770S 03 something I have to clean the other part of the numbers to get a better photo.

93 SkiRay MerCruiser Tournament 350 - carb adjustment

Here’s some photos of it with the flame arrestor off. There’s a number on the flap thing 7W8506 and it seems to be an Edelbrock? I couldn’t see any other numbers on the carb. I removed the left screw and cleaned it, sprayed some seafoam in the hole etc, still does nothing. Someone told me it’s...

93 SkiRay MerCruiser Tournament 350 - carb adjustment

Hi, I've been having idle issues (also gas smell) with our boat recently and I've tried adjusting the idle screw and the 2 screws on the 4 barrel carb. The left carb screw doesn't seem to do anything, while the right screw does. It seems to idle around 750 rpm, but sometimes 10,000 rpm, not...

Well, we adjusted the 2 screws on the carb and it idles smoother now (still not great, but it doesn't want to die every time we put it into neutral), but now we've noticed that it sounds like an old tractor. It has a slight tick tick tick sound, maybe a lifter, but my dad said it sounds like an...

Carb cleaner Merc 350 tournament ski

Over the weekend we ran the boat through 80L of gas and noticed it was running rich as we could smell gas fumes and on low rpm it sounded like it was going to die. could this be from me cleaning the flame arrestor? Would I fix this by adjusting the carburetor?

I have a can that I will put in today. Can’t hurt I guess.

I did this and it made quite a difference in the idle and throttle response. I used brake cleaner and the black slime started to pour off of it. Now I can see light through the fins around the sides. I used almost 1/2 of a can with a brush and it started to run clear.

Ok thanks I cannot see through the flame arrestor fins at all. 100% blocked with gunk. Could that cause the random poor idle? note, it has not been cleaned since 1994 when we bought the boat used.
