I will take some pictures and investigate a little bit more after all your feedback. I have just focused on the issue with the seat and not on possibilities to do something with the hatch. Might be that installing gas springs is the best solution after all, as the hatch opens enough to have good...
Thanks both! I've ordered some handles from Amazone, and should have them late next week. Will update the tread when I have tried them in the boat, and if they don't fit I'll give Garelick a call.
Thanks again. I have never thought of extending / collapsing the bimini legs to make things easier, but I remember the buttons and holes when you tell me this.
Thanks a lot for all help! I'll have a look next weekend when I'm back in the boat, and maybe the best solution is simply to remove the hinges as you indicate. Yes, the "well" is deep, so maybe the hinges are just required as a part of the CE certification. I remember I had to do a lot of...
Thanks a lot Lazy Dave! I'll try this next weekend. The only thing I didn't understand of what you're saying in bullet two is "Extend the rear legs of the fwd bimini.". Do you mean the rear part of the aluminium frame? Extending this; shouldn't this cause that the fwd part will be even harder to...
"Are you saying that it can only open so far and then it doesn't stay put by itself? "
Yes, you're correct. Even if I slide the seat as long forward as possible the hatch will still not stay put by itself. The hatch is mounted ("rotates") with hinges, so it's not possible to lift and slide the...
I'll try to remember to take a photo next time I'm in my boat. Everything is original, and both the previous owner and the guys in the service shop has experienced the same issue. Thanks for the feedback!
I start from behind with the window part where the windshield starts, and always without having attached it to the zippers on top. Then I take the next forward one. So the same at the opposite side. The last one is always the one in front the middle. Do you recommend any lubricant to make it...
Yes, the seat is stopping the hatch from opening. It doesn't help to slide the seat forward as the the seat sits on a base which is almost as long as the seat itself.
How do you guys keep the hatch open when you need to do some work on the engine? The hatch won't open completely as it is in conflict with the passenger back-to-back seat, so the only solution I have found when I'm alone is to run a rope from the opening handle forward to the windshield supports...
I have this 2003 225WE with a full Camper top (is this the correct name?). Here in Norway where I live we prefer to remove the whole top most of the times we use the boat, as the sun is not that strong. As we often sleep in the boats weekends in the boat we’ll need to put up again the top every...
Nice job! Which Garmin GPS did you install? My 182C has been mounted where you now have installed your ignition key, but I have been thinking about doing the same as you have done.
Hi and thanks for feedback. I "stole" the word Swivel from the Garelick link, but understand that I don't have any swivel in my boat. I have the back-to-back arrangement with two locking handles as you describe. I have tried to use the boat with just one of the handles in place, but I don't...
Hi guys.
I have just downsized from a 2001 410 EC to a 2003 225 WE after my children have left home, and I absolutely love it! Makes small day-trips so much easier even I miss all features and space that was in the 410 EC. One thing I need to fix in the 225 is the sliding seat on passengers...
Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread
Thanks Ezsteps and Wet Dogggg
I had some Teflon-spray on both the cylinder and the sliding tracks, and after a few attempts it now works as good as new. Don't really understand why, because the sofa was very...
