Thanks all for the response. The Sikaflex 295uv seems to be the one most liked. I haven't researched it yet but will. Should I use clear or white?

First up this spring is redoing the exterior caulk on my DB480. Anybody had any luck with a specific tool to remove the old caulk and not damage the gel coat?
Suggestions on what type of caulk to use?

I have Cats and cannot help you with the Cummins setup. There are a lot of posts regarding props and re-pitching the props under the 480 Sedan Bridge thread. My two cents are this; Unless you are running full throttle a lot, I would not change the pitch. Sea Ray set up the boat when new and...
Install a new one. There are some things that you do not want to chance on a boat. A hot shower or toilet flush are on that list. Keep the old one for an emergency back up. The new one will last for years so it's actually a cheap purchase.

Congratulations. The 480 has everything you need in a boat. I jumped up from a 400 to a 480 that same as you are doing. You will love that added horsepower when you want to get up and run a little. Weekend trips are far more comfortable also.

There is not a 20 plus year old boat that will not have moisture readings. It's goes with the age. I am not a surveyor and do not have the training to judge the findings. With that said, there is not much I see here that is alarming. The window trim is something most of us have changed by now...
I’m wanting to change fresh water pumps from a 3 gpm to a 5 gpm. Anyone see an issue with this? I have a pump getting weak and would like more pressure than stock.

There is a breaker inside the cabinet just inside the door on the starboard side. It’s up in the upper corner of the cabinet and I have to get on all fours to see it. Check that one and see if it powers up.
I found the leak. It was a cracked fitting hat holds the pressure gauge onto the cylinder servo. I’m not sure why there is a gauge there, but there is. I had noticed drops coming from it earlier this year so I cleaned and resealed the threads. I guess I must have ham fisted it during the...
I have the same system. Did you rebuild your unit yourself or have a pump shop rebuild it? I have changed out rack and pinion on vehicles and this looks similar.
My power steering system is leaking into the rear bilge from either the steering rack, hoses, or pressure relief valve. Does anybody have the diagram of the system that they can post? I’m heading down this weekend to track down the leak.
Any pointers on a common failure in the system? My...
V berth mattress help. We have a memory foam mattress that the admiral hates. I’m not a fan either. We are going to be ordering a new one once I get some advice from the 480 group on which one they like….and where they purchased. I prefer a firm mattress.
I am needing the cylinder numbers on the cockpit bench seat. I have the bench but have never had the cylinders that hold the seat cushions upright when opened. My parts manual doesn’t list them and I’m not sure if the cylinders were factory or added on. I purchased the bench seat years ago with...
